On May 24, 2023, the London Police Department announced that it would roll out a new generation of body cameras to its entire police force.

The City of London Police Force is renowned for its modern policing methods, relying on advanced technology to maintain the safety of the bustling financial district of London. According to Neal Donohoe, Commissioner of the City of London Police, 'The new video technology will capture valuable footage of events, providing an objective record that promotes transparency and accountability, while also helping to ensure the safety of both our officers and the community.'

The new equipment will seamlessly integrate with the police force's existing technology ecosystem to maximize end-to-end security and productivity. The system is designed to simplify the workflow for officers. At the end of a shift, officers only need to place the body camera in the dock, and it will automatically upload the footage from the day's events to the evidence management software. The data will be stored domestically and organized according to time, date, location details, and supporting incident data from the officer's report.
